raw_input():
raw_input() is the python inbuilt function which is used to get the input from the keyboard. Such that raw_input get the inputs as in string and perform the operation consider the inputs as a string.
Syntax:
variableName = raw_input("Print statement you wish to show to the user:")
Example:
name=raw_input("Enter your name:")
print "Name%s" %name
Output:
Enter your name: Dharanidharan V
Dharanidharan V
Explanation:
Line 1: name=raw_input("Enter your name:")
name is the variable name which is used to store the values get from the user keyboard. raw_input is the builtin function which is used to get the inputs from the user.
Line 2: print "Name, %s" %name
This is the print statement which is used to print the input which is get from the user keyboard and stored on the variable name.
More Example:
name=raw_input("Enter your name:")
college=raw_input("Enter your college name:")
year=raw_input("Enter your year of Passing:")
department=raw_input("Enter your department:")
print "\n"
print "name: %s" %name
print "college: %s" %college
print "year of passing: %s " %year
print "department: %s" %department
Output:
Enter your name: Dharanidharan V
Enter your college name: MIT
Enter your year of passing: 2017
Enter your department: Information Technology
name: Dharanidharan V
college: MIT
year of passing: 2017
department: Information Technology
input():
input () is the Python inbuilt functions which is used to get the input from the user keyboard. Such that input() will get the input as integer and performing the operation consider the given input as integer or number .
Note Worthy: In case, your going to give string in this input() it will through some errors.
Syntax:
variableName = input("Enter the statement you wish to convey to user")
Example:
name=raw_input("Enter your name:")
print "Name%s" %name
Output:
Enter your reg.number: 10
number: 10
