What is Docker?

 What is Docker?

  • Docker is Software which are used to create containers.

What is Containers?
  • Containers are cluster or group of configuration files or packages which are used to run the applications.
Let me tell you a short story from which we will try to understand docker much better way,
  • Let's say you are building a PHP Ecommerce Website. In which you will need to install certain prerequisite before you start your actual development process's.
  • You might want to install PHP, MySQL for Database and Apache or Tomcat for Server - As a developer you are having a Windows Machine and You installed all the required prerequisite in your system.
  • Now you have completed your Application Development. But now want to send it to the Testing team to test the Application before production deployment.
  • In this case, as developer you cant give your system to others since you might continue to developer other applications also.
  • The right way would be running the developed application in the Tester Computer System, so in this case you have to share the Developed Source Code and prerequisite details before that needs to installed to run the application to the tester.
  • You have shared the details to the Tester, and the tester has been Installed the prerequisite and deployed the application and start to test the application.
  • But the Application is not getting Started. 🤯

✔ Now the Tester calls the Developer and Told that application is not evening running I have installed the prerequisite too which you have shared but still the application is not running. The Developer words would be Hey, It worked on my Machine.😕.

✔ Developer stopped his actual other project and started to debug this Not Running Application Issue. After more than hours of debugging in the code. The Developer find that bug is not actually in the Code it is in the Configuration made/installed by the tester.

✔ Even Tester does not did any wrong configuration or mistake. What tester did is he has installed Latest Versions of MYSQL available.

✔ But the developer has developed the application in which MySQL has different Older Version running in his system under different port because of that application could be ran. So here comes the problem.

✔ The Developer develops application with his own sets of tools and versions, where while moving to other computer system it give fault/issue like this where it would have different sets of tools and versions.

✔ In order to rectify this Problem Containerizations came in to Play.

What is Containerizations?
  • In order to avoid missing out any configuration and packages version mismatch. We are Putting all the dependency, packages and configuration under one shell as a single entity and moving that single entity called container to other environment which would work seamlessly in other environment too.
What are the major advantages of Docker?
  • Environment Standardization - No need to worry about any environment.
  • Build once, Deploy it anywhere.
  • Application Portability.
  • Time Saving.

BIG DATA ANALYTICS

BIG DATA ANALYTICS Have you ever hit upon how Amazon and Flip kart could possible verdict what we want; how the Google auto completes our search; how the YouTube looks into videos we want to watch? When we open YouTube, we will be at sixes and sevens, when we find ads related to what we have searched earlier in the past days. This is where we find ourselves in the era of big data analytics. More than 3 trillion bytes of information are being generated everyday through our smart phones, tablets, GPS devices, etc.  Have we thought about what can be done with all these information? This is where the data analytics comes into play. Big data analytics is just the study of future build up to store data in order to extract the behaviour patterns. The entire social networking website gathers our data which are related to our interest which is usually done by using our past search or any other social information. Data analytics will lead to a walkover in near future....

Managing IT Infrastructure in Company - Cloud Computing

Managing IT Infra in Company Imagine you start a company, and you have a website for that company. The website is hosted on a server which you bought for your small company. Your company is growing and growing. People are visiting your site. Soon you start encountering issues with your website since the traffic on your website is very high and the people are visiting at the same time. When many people are using the same website at the same time, the server slows down.   On the other hand, people using your website will become very less in number if the server slows down. As a result the traffic increases which ultimately increases the power. How to solve this issue? You get more servers in order to resolve this problem which is quite expensive. You have to pay for installation, maintenance and service.  Instead put your website on the server which is online which will be always available and there is no need for any physical equipment. You only have to pay...

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) What is AWS EC2 ? Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, EC2 is a web service from Amazon that provides resizable compute services in the cloud. What do you mean by resizable in AWS EC2 ? You can quickly scale up or scale down the number of server instance you are using based upon on your traffic.  What is called as Instance? An instance is a virtual server for running applications on Amazon’s EC2. Simply Virtual Machine is called as Instance(i.e)it holds the HDD, OS, RAM, Network Connection Whatever things that are need to run a system.  Note : Everything is Virtual You can’t able to see the HDD, RAM , or CPU. Only thing is you can able to configure it based on your need.    So here is the Definition….  Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier for developers. Why Amazo...
