How To Do UPI Payment Without Internet?

Have you ever want or been in situation you want to send money to others bank account when there is no internet or without internet like me.

Yes right? You would thought many a times but not sure how to do it or it's possible or not and left behind?

No worries, without further talking let's get started...

Points to remember:

✓ *99# - is the number you need to dial in your phone to make payments or transactions.

✓ You need to have UPI bank account linked to your phone number.

✓ By the time of writing, Maximum amount you can send using this payment mode is Rs.5000/-.

✓ Rs.0.50 is charged per transaction to use this service. (But TRAI is not charging atleast in 2023 while I am writing this)

Steps to do UPI payment without internet:

1. Dial *99# in your phone and call this USSD number.

2. You will be shown various options with number to choose. Select 1 to 'Send Money'.

3. On next enter your UPI ID to make payment. Also you can enter bank account number or phone number linked to bank to make transaction.

4. Next step enter your desired amount to make payment.

5. Re-enter the same amount to confirm.

6. Enter the UPI PIN to make your transaction complete.

How to setup offline UPI payments?

1. Dial *99# from your phone and call (USSD dialing and you will get further prompts).

2. Choose your preferred language from the given lists.

3. On the next prompt enter your bank IFSC code to register.

4. If your mobile number is already linked with multiple accounts then you will be shown with bank account details with number 1, 2 choose your account from it.

5. Next enter your debit cards last six digit number and expiry date to complete the verification.

6. Yes, you are done, your offline UPI account is activated. By following above section you can start making transactions.

How to disable offline UPI payments?

1. Same dial *99# from your phone and call.

2. Select 'My Profile' on prompt.

3. On next select de-register or remove UPI account.

4. Complete the verification steps from prompt shown and you are done. Successfully disabled offline UPI payments.
