AWS Lambda is an event-driven, serverless computing platform provided by Amazon as a part of the Amazon Web Services. It is a computing service that runs code in response to events and automatically manages the computing resources required by that code. It was introduced in November 2014. - Wikipedia

AWS lambda are the powerful online IDE through which you can able to do anything. yes i repeat. You can do anything.. - Tech Bird

Author of Tech Bird : If you are more strong in data structure and algorithm and coding stuffs surely you can hack, but aws lambda wont hack for you, you need to write a code to do it my dear Smart brain. It's just an Platform or IDE which will run your script or piece of code in the respective targets)

 Author of Tech Bird : Sure Man. Come let's go deeper.
   
 Author : Have your developed any application Java, Python, NodeJS, ....anything?
   
 Smart Brain : Yes.! I am a java guy.
   
 Author : Ahh..! stupendous...! Can you tell me the prerequisites do develop an simple java application ?
   
 Smart Brain : I need a computer with Java Installed and with an IDE.
   
 Author : That's it anything else you need...
   
 Smart Brain : yeah I need an Internet .
   
 Author : Okie ! This much things you needed and setting up this takes some time as well i know how awful to wait for installation of jave gets completed even in 2019..
            
 Smart Brain : hahaha..!
   
 Author : As said before lambda is server less, lambda will take care of your infra, lambda will take care your platform as well just you need to select the needed platform with expected runtime.


Overall Summary :


  AWS lambda is purely an IDE by which you can develop the code and leave the code in IDE itself and you can run the code either triggering, scheduling or manual.
   
    Currently when i am writing this post aws lambda is available with Popular run time Java, .net, Python, NodeJS, GO, Ruby and Custom Run time
   
    AWS lambda will automatically take the memory needed for you code to execute . You can monitor your lambda from aws lambda console itself.
   
    Your code logs will be stored in the AWS Cloud Watch
   
The beauty of the aws lambda is
  • You no need to worry about the Infra r platform 
  • You can run your code via triggering, scheduling and manual as well.
  • It will be costing you only for the code execution time.
  • It's secured.
  • Developer can jump into aws lambda and starting the code direclty.
  • You Can Code, Build, Run and Test from one place itslef.

Services provided by Cloud Computing   1. Software as a service :  It is process by which the software will be provided by the cloud server's. Instead of using the software in our local machine we can directly use the cloud services directly to get our work done.   Example : Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Zoho Writer,....etc. 2. Platform as a service : It is process by which you can directly use platform like windows , linux , Mac, ....Which ever you need to done your work.
